Avina Wellness was created with one purpose:

to offer real-life support that feels human, grounded, and

genuinely helpful.

Avina blends lived experience, professional expertise, and a deeply personal understanding of the challenges young adults and their families face, especially during times of transition.

Meet Kelly Mortazavi
Founder

I created Avina Wellness because I've watched someone I love struggle with failing to launch, and I've felt the helplessness that comes with wanting to help but not knowing how.

Since 2013, I've been working in mental health, substance use, and eating disorder treatment—from high-profile clients to young adults trying to figure out life after treatment. For the last six years, I've specialized in young adults because that's where my heart is, and because I know firsthand how much families need real support during these transitions.

Here's what I learned: Traditional treatment is great for crisis moments, but it doesn't teach you how to grocery shop when you're anxious or what to do when your routine falls apart at 2 PM on a Tuesday. That's the stuff that actually matters.

In 2023, I started Avina Wellness to fill that gap. I'm not here to give you a plan that looks perfect on paper but impossible in real life. I'm here to meet you where you actually are—messy moments included—and help you build something that sticks. Think of me as the person in your corner who gets it, won't judge you, and will help you figure out the next right step.

Families appreciate that I keep everyone in the loop and follow through. Clients appreciate that I can laugh at the absurdity of life while taking their struggles seriously. Together, we create momentum that feels manageable—not overwhelming.

"I started this work wanting to help families like mine — families who are trying everything but still feel stuck. Families who love their young adult fiercely but don't know how to bridge the gap."

Real Support for Real Life

How I Work

I show up in your actual life—not just in an office. Whether that's helping you build a morning routine that doesn't feel impossible, sitting with you while you make that hard phone call, or figuring out meal prep when executive function is at zero.

I am equal parts accountability partner, emotional support, and practical problem-solver. We move at your pace, celebrate small wins, and tackle the stuff that therapy doesn't always cover. This isn't about perfection—it's about progress, one grounded step at a time.

My approach is warm, present, and deeply human. I meet clients exactly where they are—emotionally and physically—and walk beside them as they build clarity, consistency, and real momentum.

The Avina   Philosophy

Support That Adapts To Your World

Real change happens in everyday moments — not just in appointments.

We help you build structure that works on good days and bad ones, offer steady accountability without shame, and focus on small, consistent progress over perfection. You don’t just need willpower — you need systems and support.

Wellness that adapts to your world.

Support shaped around your life, your rhythms, your challenges, your goals. Not a rigid program that expects you to fit into it.

Intentional support.

Thoughtful, individualized care that honors your autonomy and meets where you are without judgement.

Thoughtful connection.

Genuine partnership, warmth, and presence. Not clinical coldness or one-size-fits-all advice.

Real-life momentum.

Structure + compassion = stability, clarity, and confidence.

We focus on what actually works in your day-to-day life.
